CyberLess Privacy Policy

At CyberLess, we want to make sure you understand how we handle your data, whether you're just interested in what we do, a Subject Matter Expert (SME), or someone receiving our Protection Services (known as KAHU).

What type of information do we collect?

We collect the following types of information:

  • Personal information: This includes information such as your name, email address, phone number, and mailing address. You provide this information to us when you fill out our contact form or possibly when you chat with us directly.

  • Cookies and other tracking technologies: To provide you this website we need to use cookies and other tracking technologies to collect information about your use of our website. This information may include your IP address, browser type, operating system, and the pages you visit on our website. We do not save this IP information in our own databases.

How do we store, use, share and disclose this information?

We use your information to:

  • Provide you with the services you have requested.

  • Communicate with you about our products and services.

  • Improve our website and services.

  • Conduct research.

We may share your information with the following parties:

  • Our SMEs (Subject Matter Expert's), interested parties and partners, such as psychologists, educators, school directors, teachers, parents, and our CyberLess Guardians. These individuals shall all sign a confidentiality agreement (NDA) in cases where they need to access PII related information about a KAHU and are able to map this back to the identity of the KAHU. This information exchange is strictly controlled and auditable by the KAHU's and interested parties and are based on a need to know Principle. Our Guardians are dedicated to safeguarding the well-being of children and families, both psychologically and physically, while ensuring their right to access information.

  • Our website providers and other third-party service providers.

We will not sell or rent your information to third parties for marketing purposes.

We retain your information for as long as necessary to provide you with our services and to comply with our legal obligations. You can request that we delete your information at any time by contacting us at info@cyberless.com

How do we protect your data?

We take the security of your data very seriously. We have implemented a number of security measures to protect your data from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure, including:

  • We use encryption to protect your data at rest and in transit.

  • We have firewalls and intrusion detection systems in place to protect our servers from attack.

  • We only allow authorized personnel to access your data.

  • We regularly train our employees on data security best practices.

In addition to these general security measures, we also take specific steps to protect your privacy, including:

  • We store your data under an alias, not your name. This means that only you can access your data by using your alias as a password or keyword.

  • We do not link your data to any personally identifiable information (PII) without your consent. This means that we cannot identify you from the data we store, unless you choose to provide us with your PII.

  • We anonymize your data before sharing it with anyone outside of CyberLess. This means that we remove any information that could be used to identify you, such as your name, email address, and IP address.

For example, if we consult with the parents of a KAHU who was the victim of cyberbullying and we want to share best practices with other parents, we will anonymize the information as much as possible. We will not share the KAHU's name, gender, or any other PII. We may say that the KAHU was a boy, but only if it is necessary for the other parents to know this information. If an institute is researching the impact of cyberbullying and wants to research how it affects different genders or age groups, we can provide statistics without providing any reversible data or information about our KAHU's.

We believe that these measures protect your privacy while still allowing us to provide you with the best possible services.
